On Tuesday 14 November, we saw the return of our 9 x 5 Fintech Demo Day event, where we were joined by nine local firms to hear about their capabilities and how they could help finance firms in Jersey utilise tech within their business.
The event provided finance firms with the opportunity to hear from Jersey-based fintechs, as they delivered a five-minute pitch that highlighted their products, services and enabling solutions.
Exhibitors included Lee Birkett, Founder, Moneybrain; Jonathan Daglish, Fintech Lead, Digital Jersey, Edmund Hatton, Senior Manager, Deloitte; Heather-Anne Hubbell, CEO, Phundex; Simon Jackson Founder, XRM; Peter Joy, Director, SS&C Technologies; Amy King, Chief Sustainability Officer, Paragon Impact; Simon O’Donoghue, CEO, Spring IM; and Jonathan Wauton, CEO & Co-founder, Tiller Technologies.
This event further strengthens our ambition for Jersey to be a world-class centre for fintech. As a jurisdiction, we strive to be the easiest international finance centre (IFC) to do business with remotely in a digital world.
Nathalie Andersson, Fintech Lead at Jersey Finance, said: ‘We are delighted with the return of our 9 x 5 Fintech Demo event. Events such as this, and Demo Day, which took place earlier this year, aim to foster an environment in which where fintech can thrive. A big thank you to our exhibitors for coming along and demonstrating how they can support the local finance industry utilise tech within their businesses and help us work towards our ambition as a forward-thinking IFC.’
