Elliot Refson, Head of Funds, and Philip Pirecki, Americas Lead at Jersey Finance, were interviewed recently for Private Equity International’s ‘Future of Private Equity’ report.

The discussion centred on how the digitalisation of real-world assets is progressing, and what US private equity managers are doing to establish deal vehicles in this space. Elliot and Philip considered the trend towards co-investing through digitalisation, and there was more general debate on the benefits of digitalisation and the opportunities it presents. Finally, they explored the implications of tokenisation for fund domiciles and how jurisdictions will need to adapt moving forward.

The interview coincides with the publication of a new report by IFI Global titled ‘The Evolution of Virtual Assets and Jersey’s Growing Role’. This includes important contributions from the Government of Jersey and the JFSC, and provides insights from investors, fund managers, virtual asset service providers and fund directors, plus examples of business in Jersey.
