TMF Group, a leading professional services firm, has recently made significant appointment to its leadership team in the Channel Islands. James Coughlan has been appointed as the Market Head of the British Isles and Ireland, overseeing operations in the region. This strategic move reinforces TMF Group’s commitment to enhancing its presence and services.
In his current role, James is responsible for our British Isles & Ireland (“BI&I”) Market. His responsibilities include strategic alignment, P&L ownership, commercial activities, regulatory and compliance oversight, service delivery amongst others for all of our services across the BI&I Market. He sits/Chairs a number of our regulated Boards in Jersey, Guernsey and Ireland.
Before joining TMF Group in 2019, James worked for State Street Channel Islands from 2013 and joined TMF as part of its successful acquisition of the State Street Channel Islands business. He joined TMF Group as Global Operations Director working closely with various jurisdictions including Luxembourg, New York, Mumbai, Singapore and others to develop our Global funds service offering.
James was promoted to Head of Funds, Jersey in 2019 and Head of Funds, Channel Islands in 2020. James has also previously led large accounting teams and strategic client relationships.
James is an FCCA qualified accountant, he worked in Audit & Corporate Finance in Ireland prior to 2013.
