We are delighted to be a part of this year’s Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) taking place 20-25 June 2022 in Kigali, Rwanda, after being postponed for the last two years.

As part of this event, The Commonwealth Business Forum 2022 (CBF 2022) will be hosted as a partnership between the Government of Rwanda and Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC). This year’s forum will address the CHOGM theme ‘Delivering a Common Future: Connecting, Innovating, Transforming’ with a focus on the impact of the pandemic and the Commonwealth’s role in rebuilding and reinvigorating the global economy. Joe Moynihan, CEO of Jersey Finance, will participate on two panels titled ‘Governance for the Future: Are We Prepared?’, and Innovation in Financing and FinTech, Supporting Sustainable Growth’.

The sessions will explore the increasing need for regulatory framework to leverage data to fuel innovation and the development of a seamless regulatory landscape by tackling barriers to trade and cooperation. There will also be discussions regarding the role of Government and FinTech in facilitating economic growth and the important of infrastructure.

We are proud to represent Jersey at this year’s CHOGM and look forward to making connections old and new.
