Amy Bryant › Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Jersey Finance

Amy is Deputy Chief Executive of Jersey Finance. Amy joined Jersey Finance in 2011, becoming Chief Operating Officer in January 2014 and assumed her current role in September 2017. Amy also retains an active position leading the Strategic Projects team which undertakes projects and initiatives to develop the financial services industry in the Island.

Amy was born and educated in Jersey and subsequently went on to study at Durham University where she graduated with an honours degree in Natural Sciences.

Previous to Jersey Finance, Amy worked for PwC in the Channel Islands where she specialised in the taxation of offshore funds and Jersey corporate vehicles and provided international structuring advice to a global client base. Whilst working within the tax team, Amy was admitted to the Chartered Institute of Taxation as a Chartered Tax Advisor. Amy initially qualified as a chartered accountant within PwC’s Assurance team working on the audits of a number of banks, financial institutions and public sector bodies.

An joined Jersey Finance in May 2016 as the Business Development Director for Asia and is now based in our Middle East Regional Hub office, in the DIFC in Dubai.

An studied law in Belgium at the University of Leuven including one Erasmus exchange year at Queen Mary and Westfield College in London. She subsequently did an LLM in international business law at Trinity College Dublin.

An qualified as a lawyer in Belgium before moving to Dublin to work in the international business team of the law firm Matheson. In 2009, she went to work for ATC Corporate Services in Luxembourg as a corporate lawyer and later as a business unit manager. After a shareholding change in 2013, ATC Corporate Services merged with the Intertrust Group. An joined the Intertrust Hong Kong office in 2014 as a business unit director for the European and the Private Equity team.

Rooda Omran Al Qebaisi

Rooda Omran Al Qebaisi

Rooda is a CIPD and SHRM certified, dedicated senior-level human resources leader recognized by peers to recruit and develop high-performance HR consulting teams. Rooda is adept at developing and building strategic alliances with organizational leaders to support key business initiatives, with advanced knowledge in providing in-house solutions for compensation, health and welfare, HR development and polices. Rooda is the first Qatari to complete “Export Aspiring Category” training program and featured in national newspaper, radio and TV Channel for discussing challenges in human resources and labor law in Qatar and is a certified Career Counsellor and Trainer for HR Programs. Bilingual, English and Arabic.

Akeela Bharuchi

Akeela Bharuchi Head of Middle East, Equiom

Akeela is the Head of Middle East for Equiom Group, a global company specialising in end-to-end private wealth structuring and business support services to private, institutional, and corporate clients. A UK solicitor with over 12 years’ experience in UK and the Middle East, and with over 20 years of commercial experience, Akeela specialises in advising international businesses and investors on a broad range of corporate commercial matters. Her team of highly experienced qualified corporate services professionals specialise in employee savings/pensions and end of service solutions, governance risk and compliance consulting and outsourcing, company formation, licensing, structuring, company secretariat and corporate administration and bespoke business enabling solutions.

Hannah Wailoo

Hannah Wailoo Partner at Withers London

Hannah is a partner in the Withers private client and tax team and co-head of the Middle East group. She is a specialist succession and personal tax planning lawyer whose clients include domestic and international individuals, families, trustees and family offices. Hannah provides tax efficient and estate planning solutions, with a particular focus on international families with a presence in the UK, or who are investing into or relocating to the UK. Her key specialism is UK real estate ownership for international families and investors, where she provides inheritance tax and other personal tax mitigation advice for real estate investment to the UK and for existing ownership structures.

Lemoushmi Devi

Lemoushmi Devi Assistant Director, Financial Advisory, Deloitte

Lemoushmi is an Assistant Director, Financial Advisory at Deloitte & Touche (M.E.) LLP (DME). She has been involved in financial advisory work for over 12 years and specializes in turning around companies that are keen to improve their profitability and ensuring the business is financially sustainable in the long term. Prior to living in the GCC, she worked on a large restructuring on a listed shipping company in Asia and was awarded – “Restructuring of the Year”. In GCC, some of her work includes advising the largest contracting company in Dubai and optimizing the operations of companies in various sectors. She is also a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst.
