With a career in financial services spanning four decades, Joe has a strong commitment to the future success of the industry in Jersey.

Joe commenced his professional life in the banking sector, rising to the position of CEO of Jersey and the Isle of Man for a major bank, which included responsibilities for trusts and investments. In recent years, he expanded his focus as Director of Financial Services within the Government of Jersey, where he worked closely with industry and regulator to ensure the island’s position as a leading international finance centre. Before joining Jersey Finance in February 2019, Joe was working to establish high-reputation regulatory frameworks and business models for IFCs in the Middle East and Africa. He was recently appointed as a board director of the World Alliance of International Finance Centers (WAIFC).

Amy Bryant › Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Jersey Finance

Amy is Deputy Chief Executive of Jersey Finance. Amy joined Jersey Finance in 2011, becoming Chief Operating Officer in January 2014 and assumed her current role in September 2017. Amy also retains an active position leading the Strategic Projects team which undertakes projects and initiatives to develop the financial services industry in the Island.

Amy was born and educated in Jersey and subsequently went on to study at Durham University where she graduated with an honours degree in Natural Sciences.

Previous to Jersey Finance, Amy worked for PwC in the Channel Islands where she specialised in the taxation of offshore funds and Jersey corporate vehicles and provided international structuring advice to a global client base. Whilst working within the tax team, Amy was admitted to the Chartered Institute of Taxation as a Chartered Tax Advisor. Amy initially qualified as a chartered accountant within PwC’s Assurance team working on the audits of a number of banks, financial institutions and public sector bodies.

Lord Chris Patten

Lord Chris Patten Chancellor of the University of Oxford

Chris Patten is Chancellor of Oxford University. He is the author of First Confession: A Sort of Memoir, What Next? Surviving the Twenty-First Century, Not Quite the Diplomat: Home Truths About World Affairs and East and West: The Last Governor of Hong Kong on Power, Freedom and the Future. When MP for Bath (1979-92) he served as Minister for Overseas Development, Secretary of State for the Environment and Chairman of the Conservative Party. He was Governor of Hong Kong from 1992 until 1997, Chairman for the Independent Commission on Policing after the Good Friday Agreement in 1998 and European Commissioner for External Relations from 1999 until 2004. Retail expert Mary Portas has advised government, transformed both luxury and high street stores, written books and produced a host of retail and business-themed TV programmes. The Chief Creative Officer of her own retail consultancy, and author of Work Like a Woman: A Manifesto For Change, she delivers an inspiring message of how businesses and individuals can adapt, transform and lead. A determined, passionate advocate for British retail, Mary is at the forefront of making the nation better consumers and the country’s shops better businesses. Starting her career the shop floor, she rose through the ranks of retail giants John Lewis, Harrods and TopShop. She was then appointed Creative Director at the struggling Harvey Nichols store. With the aid of cutting edge artists, designers, and a TV show called Absolutely Fabulous, Mary turned it into a retail powerhouse and was on the board of the company by the age of 30.

James Lawson

James Lawson Managing Partner and Co-Founder, Tribe Impact Capital

James is the Managing Partner and a co-founder of Tribe Impact Capital. He’s been in wealth management for over two decades, starting at UBS where he looked after private clients. He then founded Ledbury Research, helping wealth management organisations to understand their clients and provide them with a better service. Ledbury worked with eight of the ten largest global wealth managers and this experience was part of James’ drive to build a more effective solution. He has a Master’s in Economics and holds the CFA designation. James is a Board Trustee at UnLtd, the UK’s largest supporter of social entrepreneurs.

Peter Headden

Peter Headden Co-Founder and Managing Director, Farrant Group

Peter brings over 15 years’ industry-leading experience and insight advising corporate, private client and government clients. With a proven track record in building and protecting clients’ reputations, Peter provides strategic advice on global positioning, campaigns and issues and crisis management. A fluent Mandarin speaker, Peter co-founded Farrant Group in 2021, where he is Managing Director, advising on complex reputation management briefs across multiple jurisdictions. Peter is a recommended adviser in Spear’s 500 for reputation management. Previously Peter worked for a London-based strategic communications firm and, prior to that, within a major consultancy, based in Beijing and London. Peter holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of St Andrews and an MA in Politics from the University of Glasgow.

Emily Osborne

An experienced private wealth advisor, Emily provides international tax and private wealth advice to families and trustees of family trusts on a variety of issues. Her areas of expertise include establishing wealth preservation structures such as offshore trusts, foundations and companies, family governance and business succession planning, advice on residence and domicile, the reporting of beneficial ownership and structuring the acquisition and ownership of UK residential property. Many of Emily’s clients are international, meaning much of her work has a cross border element, and entrepreneurial, requiring her to advise on both the personal and business aspects of her clients' lives.

Rosie Bullard

Rosie Bullard Partner - Portfolio Manager, James Hambro & Partners

Rosie is a Partner and portfolio manager. She looks after direct client relationships, manages portfolios and has responsibilities in investment research. Her clients range from resident domiciled and non-domiciled individuals to pension funds, trusts and offshore structures with international tax considerations. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, and has a degree in Economics from the University of Durham. She joined James Hambro & Partners in 2013, having previously worked at HSBC Investments and UBS.
