Research into the role Jersey can play in facilitating foreign direct investment into Africa has been recognised at Citywealth’s inaugural Brand Management and Reputation Awards.
Jersey Finance won the ‘Overall Marketing Campaign’ category at the awards, organised by wealth management publication Citywealth, for its work in communicating the findings of the ‘Jersey’s Value to Africa’ research, published by Capital Economics and commissioned by Jersey Finance.
Designed to recognise the business services that support the wealth management industry, the awards ceremony took place on 21st June at the Grange St Paul’s Hotel in London, following an afternoon discussion session on social media.
In selecting a winner for the ‘Overall Marketing Campaign’, an expert panel of judges sought an organisation that could demonstrate creativity and an innovative approach across a number of communication channels in order to achieve specific objectives.
The ‘Jersey’s Value to Africa’ research is a significant addition to Jersey Finance’s thought leadership and research library. It highlights that the African continent will need to find $11.4 trillion in extra investment if it is to seize the opportunity to quadruple living standards by 2040 and that Jersey can provide the means for facilitating this investment.
Geoff Cook, CEO, Jersey Finance, commented: “Our focus remains very much on differentiating Jersey as an international finance centre through evidence-based research. ‘Jersey’s Value to Africa’ was a significant piece of work that shed some much-needed light into an important area and that reached a broad and sizeable audience. For it to be recognised in this way is very pleasing.”
