Joe Moynihan, Chief Executive, Jersey Finance, today signed a Vision Statement in support of Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace. The Institute of Directors Jersey (IoD) is encouraging every Jersey business to commit to promoting diversity and inclusion and help support the future success of our Island. The IoD will create a final Jersey Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Charter to help convey some core activities, including:
- Creating a workplace culture where Diversity and Inclusion is regarded as a source of enrichment, innovation and creativity and where inclusion is promoted by all;
- providing the tools and infrastructure, for example, flexible working for all colleagues to achieve better work-life balance; and
- safeguarding equal opportunities at every career step through diversity-led candidate recruitment and selection processes.
Joe Moynihan said: “As the representative body of Jersey’s finance industry, we are proud to support this vision to build diverse and inclusive organisations in our industry. Nowadays it is vital that employees feel respected, appreciated and valued, regardless of their individual differences. By signing this Vision Statement, we are pledging our full support and would encourage all workplaces to play their part in helping shape Jersey’s future.”
