Research on Jersey’s Contribution to Global Value Chains, which was undertaken by the Centre for Economics and Business Research (Cebr) last year and commissioned by Jersey Finance, was the subject of an article in ‘The House’ publication last month. It was also featured on the website PoliticsHome.com.

In July, Jersey Finance hosted a Parliamentary Reception in the House of Commons to showcase the research and highlight how Jersey’s financial services industry adds value to the UK economy. The reception was supported by Alan Whitehead MP, co-chair of the Channel Islands APPG, and Conservative MP, Daniel Kawczynski.

Joe Moynihan, Chief Executive of Jersey Finance, and Deputy Ian Gorst, Minister for Treasury and Resources, Government of Jersey, spoke at the event, about the role that Jersey’s financial sector can play in supporting Britain as a global economic force.
