Leading digital investment management company, Spring IM, has scooped four awards at the prestigious WealthBriefing Channel Islands Awards.
At the event, which took place at Grand Jersey Hotel on 7th December, Spring IM was recognised in the categories of Best Trust Company Technology Platform, Portfolio Management, Client Reporting and Pension Services.
The annual awards are bestowed on the “brightest and best” amongst the Channel Islands’ world-renowned wealth management professionals – both teams and individuals.
Commenting on Spring IM, the judges said: “The winner’s technology driven offering impressed the panel. Furthermore, the firm focuses on educating investors online as well as face-to-face.” And went on to say: “The judges were impressed with this winner’s tech innovation team. Their cutting edge, systematic, rule-based investment solutions enable them to offer the most cost efficient and flexible investment solutions in the marketplace.”
Founders, Simon O‘Donoghue and Alfie Greenway established Spring IM in early 2022 to address a significant gap in the Channel Islands’ financial services market. The duo, who have more than 45 years’ experience in the sector, recognised that there were many individuals who would like the opportunity to invest their money but wouldn’t qualify in terms of their ‘wealth’ with existing on-island wealth management firms.
“We believe investment opportunities should be available for everyone. We have modernised the investment process and through our innovative intelligence led-technology, we deliver a cost-effective service with low barriers to entry. This means investors can get started with as little as £100, gaining access to global investment markets through our diversified portfolio range,’” said Simon O’Donoghue, Chief Executive Officer, Spring IM and current Executive Chair of the Channel Islands Wealth Management Association.
“We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised in four categories of the prestigious WealthBriefing Channel Islands Awards. Our team works incredibly hard to ensure our clients have access to the highest quality investment advice as well as innovative investment products such as Spring Pensions and Spring Money+, our new low-risk cash solution.” added Simon.
Spring IM’s entire proposition has been designed to appeal to a new generation of investors, with a fully digital application and onboarding process and a state-of-the-art client reporting suite. Clients have access to a daily reporting portal to view all accounts held with Spring IM from their mobile, computer or tablet.
The client platform also enables clients to set up accounts that can be designated to their children, helping them to develop their financial literacy. Clients can set up multiple accounts such as pensions, simple investment accounts or access the new Money+ account, a low-risk interest earning cash solution aiming to beat the banks.
Most recently, Spring IM has partnered with WeShop, the world’s first shoppable social media platform, to onboard WeShop customers into Spring’s digital solutions.
WeShop allows users to shop from top retailers and earn ‘shareback’ – ownership of WeShop company shares – which will see the company eventually 90% owned by its community of users. “Spring IM is a digital business that is disrupting the norm,” added Simon. “This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Spring IM’s commitment to make investment management more accessible, informative, and interactive for all.”
