We are delighted to have hosted this week, in partnership with Themis, a roundtable event: “UAE Financial Crime Risk Assessment”.

This programme of workshops and roundtable events, hosted by Themis, has been developed to help our Members broaden and deepen their awareness and understanding of the financial crime risks when conducting business in, and with individuals and businesses, from jurisdictions under increased monitoring by FATF, which indicates that the jurisdiction has committed to an action plan with FATF to address strategic deficiencies.

The workshop delivered interesting content and practical suggestions that contribute to dialogue and discussion between industry professionals, the Government of Jersey and Jersey Financial Services Commission.

Thank you to George Pearmain, Director of Financial Crime Strategy at Government of Jersey and his wider team, and Carel van Randwyck, Chief Growth Officer, at Themis and his team for hosting the first-class roundtable.
