Intertrust will welcome an international leadership coach, mediator and speaker to its offices for the next Lean In Jersey event.

Liz Rivers, formerly a UK commercial litigation lawyer, teaches negotiation and influencing skills for women around the world and will present a talk on how to become a masterful negotiator on 19 March.

The talk is the latest event organised by Lean In Jersey, a group set up to support women in business and based on ideas put forward in the bestselling book Lean in: Women, Work and the Will to Lead by chief operating officer of Facebook Sheryl Sandberg.

Tania Bearryman, director and executive committee member of Intertrust who sits on the Lean In Jersey committee, said: "The issue of gender parity within the workplace is very topical at the moment and this event will examine how women can utilise their negotiation skills to better highlight the skill set they bring to any business.

“Liz is going to run through the unspoken expectations placed on women when negotiating and the techniques that women can use to conduct positive negotiations. We’re looking forward to welcoming Liz and the Lean In Jersey circle members to Intertrust for this interactive masterclass.”

The event takes place from 6-9pm on Monday 19 March at Intertrust’s office at 44 Esplanade, St Helier with drinks and canapés following the guest speaker.
