ONE hundred people took part in the annual L’Etacq and Back sponsored walk in aid of Autism Jersey. This year for the first time organisers encouraged runners to take part on an informal basis, and several ran the 12 km (7.5 miles) from Le Braye to L’Etacq and back again, including 11-year-old Daniel Kelly. Matthew Rault arrived home first, finishing in a time of 58 minutes.

Walkers and runners alike were rewarded with a medal, as well as bacon rolls and refreshments from Harpers Catering, thanks to sponsors Rathbones.

Autism Jersey Director of Operations Philip Le Claire said: ‘It was wonderful to see such an inclusive event, with our corporate partners walking alongside families, and people with autism. It’s the most successful walk for as long as we can remember.’

Rathbones Client Director Matthew Sutton said: ‘This was a wonderful event, enjoyed by all the adults and children who took part – and their dogs. I’m delighted that we have been able to help raise money for such a good cause.’
