Over the month of January, we were lucky enough to be invited up to Skills Jersey and Beaulieu to get involved in some sessions with their students.
At Skills Jersey we attended a workshop with their Traineeship Programme students. The Skills Jersey Traineeship is a year-long full-time programme of personal and professional development for 16–25-year-olds.
We held one-on-one sessions with a few of their students to help them understand the number of opportunities within the finance world. It was great to see some students really open up and get excited about the opportunities working in finance offers.
At Beaulieu we attended two mock interview sessions with their Year 12 students. We spoke to six students in total.
The students were very engaged and prepared, and we were delighted to be able to give them a first-hand experience of being in an interview.
We are looking forward to attending more sessions in our local schools over the next few months and cannot wait to help promote our finance industry to the young professionals of the future!
