We are thrilled to be launching our Life in Finance work placement scheme again in 2024.
One of our main pillars of work continues to be our on-going skills initiatives , including working with students, those looking to reenter the workforce and people looking to change up their careers.
We work hard to create schemes and content dedicated to those seeking out more information about working in Jersey’s financial services sector.
The scheme brings together local finance firms and Year 12 or college students in an environment where they can explore the various career and firm options available on the Island.
Last year, we had many successful placements – some ending with students securing a full-time position at the completion of their exams – showing that schemes like this do work and help to shape our workforce for the future.
This year, we will be holding virtual roundtables which set out expectations for firms around the scheme. These roundtables are for firms that have previously participated and those who have never participated. We encourage firms to sign up to these, to ensure both firms and students gain the most out of this experience.
Applications are now open for Jersey Finance Member firms to apply, as well as applications for students.
