Careers and skills continue to be high on our agenda and will be for years to come. We understand the importance of supporting the financial and related-professional industry’s efforts in attracting new talent to the industry.
It is therefore important that we help to increase awareness of and enthusiasm for careers and opportunities that are on offer to those considering joining the industry.
We have been working with our Members on creating a new video, which captures Jersey’s financial services sector in an impactful and engaging way.
We were lucky enough to have the support of many local firms. A special thank you to Aztec, Crestbridge, IQ-EQ, KPMG in the Crown Dependencies, PwC, RBS International, and VG for being an important part of this project.
Commenting on the launch of this new video Karolina Pilcher, Careers and Skills Lead at Jersey Finance, said:
“There are common misconceptions about jobs in finance and this video aims to give a facelift to the outdated picture of the sector.
The finance industry offers a huge range of career opportunities in Jersey, each providing an avenue for young people to develop their career, travel, learn, be creative, work with clients and be involved in one of the most dynamic and forward-thinking industries in the world. But this reality is not currently cutting through.
We hope that this short video showcases what our industry is all about: collaboration, diversity and sustainability. We wanted to illustrate that it is a place for everyone with the right attitude.
It has been a pleasure to work with local firms on this project to bring this image to life and I cannot wait for students across the island to watch this video and see the industry in a new light”.
