What is the opportunity?
Your responsibility within this role will be to support the Opus program as a subject matter expert for Banking and Treasury Operations, and support with the establishment of the Avaloq Operations team. Working alongside the senior manager, you will also establish new processes and controls to increase efficiency.
What will you do?
Engage in all project deliverables as part of the Agile delivery of Avaloq with a primary focus on establishing the target operating model for the Avaloq Banking & Treasury Operations team
Oversee a team of operational professionals with focus on excellence, collaboration, teamwork in serving the end client (once established)
Participate in the building of a scalable operating model and resource structure that will support RBC Wealth Management International/RBC Brewin Dolphin UK jurisdictions and will facilitate business growth, product and client servicing
Identify and deliver opportunities for process enhancements to remove process friction and increase the control environment. Proactively identify and deliver initiatives to reduce operational risk and improve efficiency
Support the business to on board new products and services using industry knowledge and understanding of the underlying markets and systems
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
A strong technical knowledge of payment processes and banking products
Proven experience with operational control and workflows
Working knowledge of Swift and/or other payment systems
Nice to have:
Qualified Regulatory or Banking professional
A high level of understanding of traded instruments and settlement mechanisms
