Our Americas Lead, Philip Pirecki, has authored an article with Elliot Refson, Head of Funds at Jersey Finance, examining the fastest-growing US cities for alternative funds and investment management outside New York.
Titled ‘Cities Across the US Seek Operational Stability’, the article looks at Miami and Chicago in turn, and then shifts its focus to the West Coast, namely to San Francisco and Los Angeles. It highlights some trends in recent years and explores the reasons why firms have been attracted to locations beyond New York.
The article also considers the areas of focus for the funds and investment firms in the cities in question, and it looks at the attributes and qualities that they are seeking in the jurisdictions with which they work when structuring funds.
