Jersey Finance recently partnered with IFI Global on a roundtable discussion in New York. The event focussed on the pressing topic of capital raising challenges being faced by US managers in an evolving financial landscape.

The participants, including representatives from firms Rede Partners, Deaglo, SRZ and CP Capital, considered the various factors driving US managers to explore international markets for diversifying their funding sources. They also discussed solutions for navigating unfamiliar market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.

The topics discussed at the roundtable included:

  • Why US managers go overseas to raise capital?
  • Why US managers often look at Europe when raising capital overseas?
  • What are the challenges of raising capital in Europe and how do US managers deal with these challenges?
  • Will there be many more US managers coming to Europe in three years’ time, or will the situation be similar to today?
